Create the perfect to snuggle space for Book Lovers Day

21st-century life is hectic, and many of us are guilty of not taking a minute out of our days to relax. But it is so important! This month, our editor has put together a collection of pieces which are perfect to create a stunning snuggle space for your living room, dining room, home office or bedroom just in time for Book Lovers Day.

Granby Brown Leather Sofa

Somewhere to sit is so important in a space designed to sit - and not just anywhere, a spot so comfortable you won't want to move from. A brown leather sofa is a great option as it will work well with any already existing furniture and looks fantastically stylish too. Alternatively, if you are blessed with slightly less space, fabric armchairs are just as wonderful (and if you're brave enough to opt for a colour or pattern, are absolutely perfect as a gorgeous statement piece).

Beam Reclaimed Wood Bookcase

If you're an avid reader, you're also going to need the perfect bookcase. We love a reclaimed wood bookcase because the wood has as much of a story as your favourite book, and will add simple sophistication and charm to your space.

Raffles Reclaimed Wood Industrial Coffee Table

Alternatively, if you don't want lots of books on display, you could opt for an industrial coffee table. This one is great with the shelf underneath providing a space for popping your current book or a stack of glossy magazines ready for you to devour.

Louis de Poortere Fading World Sherazad Rug

Finally, our editor suggests adding texture is essential for creating a super snuggly haven for you to retreat to. Living room rugs are an easy way to add a pop a colour to your space and add texture all at once. Finish the space with an abundance of scatter cushions which coordinate with your rug and a few chunky throws of different materials for the ultimate cosy nook.

And once you've created the perfect snuggle space, you're bound to want to get your teeth into a good book or two. Perhaps one of 2018's best new novels might take your fancy, like The Missing Girl by Jenny Quintana if you fancy a thriller, Ordinary People by Diana Evans or The Lido by Libby Page which our editor has read and loved!?

Let us know the first book you'll be reading in your gorgeous new nook.
