There is no doubt that our customers have firm favourites when it comes to our collections. And this shows in their choices! With this in mind, we look at the top three collections…
The Luxe Kensington Collection
There is something unique about this collection and it is something that customers simply revel in. Most of us want items that have an air of individuality about them, a sense of uniqueness that means even if you spot the ‘same’ item, they are not carbon copies of each other. And this is why the combination of the rawness of reclaimed wood works so well with the coolness of metal.
Stainless steel is a popular choice for metal legwork from this collection, but the industrial black option is fast catching up. The reclaimed wood dining table is handcrafted, using reclaimed railway sleepers. Minimally refined, this industrial dining table brings warmth to the kitchen diner or the formal dining room.
Everything in this collection is a talking point and no wonder – the industrial interior design style is increasing in popularity and we predict it will continue to grow in 2018. This style is a pleasing mix of ‘raw’ materials, exposed brickwork, metals and wood, perfect for creating a stylish space with industrial furniture that doesn’t compromise on practicality.
The Hoxton Collection
Pride of place in our studio is the Hoxton dining table, a brilliant example of the quality of solid oak furniture.
No wonder it is a popular collection. As well as the solidness and beauty of oak, there is pleasing ‘chunkiness’ to the items from this collection. Often, we think of chunkiness as another word for lumbering, possibly inelegant and yet, this is not the impression given when admiring the Hoxton range.
The difference is how this robustness is created and used. There are no sharp, unrefined edges to items in the Hoxton range. The pleasing oak table, for example, has column legs that work with the overall style and finish. There is pleasing detail, only achieved in the hands of a skilled artisan, such as the X legs of Hoxton rustic dining table.
Oak is a slow growing timber, and anything made from it will last a generation and more. Simply beautiful. What more can we say?
The English Beam Collection
We are noticing that more and more customers are looking for British made and crafted items, as well as furniture that is not uniform or the ‘same old thing’. Investing in furniture means opting for items that really do last the test of time. And the wood used in the Beam Collection can be as young as a 100-year-old.
And it is this pedigree that makes everything about this range stand out. Available in a light or medium finish, there is everything for your home from the delight of the reclaimed wood bed to a floor standing mirror to the beauty of a reclaimed wood bookcase.
Again, these pieces are built to last. They don’t go out of fashion but rather morph, fitting with any interior design trend you can throw at it. But if you like the warmth and feel of wood, then the British made and crafted English Beam Collection is for you.
