Creating the right Christmas theme for your home

Christmas is officially upon us! If you are looking to get into the Christmas spirit and get your house ready for all your Christmas festivities, take a look at these easy ideas for a bit of last minute inspiration.

Christmas Lighting on the Table

One of the easiest ways to get the perfect Christmas theme in your home is adding some colour. Red is always a great option at Christmas time as it is vibrant and wonderfully festive. Take a look at our blogpost dedicated to adding a touch of red to your home this Christmas here. Try adding poinsettias and red ribbon on your Christmas tree. Alternatively, if you are looking for a more rustic, outdoorsy touch add holly or a couple of mini Christmas trees on your dining table for a touch of gorgeous green! Whatever the theme, make sure you have your Father Christmas outfit ready on Christmas morning to give out all the presents!

Christmas gifts for children

The perfect way to set the theme in your home is music. After all, "the best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear!" Create a playlist of all your favourite Christmas songs from over the years. With Spotify or Deezer, this is made incredibly easy with their helpful suggestions. If you get any requests over Christmas from family and friends, add them in and save the playlist for next year as a Christmas playlist completely personalised to you.

Christmas Tree and Present

Finally, try adding a little bit of rustic character and charm to your table. Glittery pinecones are a great accessory which can be bought from John Lewis, or alternatively you could pick them up on a walk and create a stylish last minute decoration by spraying them yourself. Berry and fruit garlands or preserved fruit slices are another fantastic way to add colour to your home. Get some tips here on how to make your own garland using fruit.

Christmas decorations and reclaimed wood

Finally, Christmas is all about spending time with family and friends so don't forget to relax. Merry Christmas!
