Scandinavian furniture is beloved in family homes and on the pages of glossy interiors magazines. Known for its understated elegance, functionality and simplicity, Scandinavian furniture looks to improve day-to-day life through a unique style of furniture.
At Modish Living, we absolutely adore Scandinavian furniture and all it has to offer. The Portobello collection at Modish Living was something we knew our customers would love, with its simple design crafted from light oak. In this blogpost, we thought we'd shine a spotlight on the beauty of one of the newest collections at Modish Living.
Within the Portobello collection, there is a truly fantastic range of dining room furniture, which will look truly divine in contemporary kitchens and dining rooms.
But before we start... a little bit about our beautiful new collection. The Portobello collection is crafted using a mix of European oak and rustic oak veneers for a finish which boasts different tones and thus shows the natural beauty of the wood. Each piece is given a specialist matte lacquer which not only makes each piece wonderfully tactile, it also keeps the timber looking both natural and dry.
The 6 seater dining table is one of our favourite pieces because of its complete simplicity. The slim design of this table, also available as an extending wooden dining table, makes it perfect for a room of any size. With the slim, angled legs which don't get in the way of any oak table dining chairs or oak table dining bench combo you may wish to use, and the elegant chevron inlaid pattern on the table top, this table may be understated but it certainly isn't boring.
For those that need all the storage they can get their mitts on, the Portobello Oak Sideboard is a fantastic investment. The sideboard features two fantastic sized cupboards plus three drawers in the central panel, all of which would make great overflow kitchen cupboard space.
Alternatively, the Oak Drinks Cabinet, full of vitality, is fantastic if you love to entertain. Whilst it could also be used like a more traditional sideboard, this drinks cabinet, on it longer tapered legs, looks truly spectacular, particularly with the double doors opening to reveal all your favourite spirits at dinner parties, and potentially Christmas parties coming up.
Which is your favourite piece in the Portobello collection? We don't think you can go far wrong with these beautiful pieces whether you have a glossy kitchen surrounded by large glass windows, a clean white dining room or even a more traditional space.
