How to decorate for Christmas on a budget

Its the most wonderful time of the year! But, after buying presents and food, finding affordable yet beautiful decorations for your home can be a challenge. Here are a few ways to deck your home out for Christmas without blowing your budget.

Christmas and Dogs

Start with making an impression with your front door to set the theme. To save on the price, why not try getting creating and make it with a little help with either a glue gun or a little string. Add holly, berries and pinecones and finish with a simple red satin ribbon for a traditional look or even find some inexpensive baubles and create a gorgeous wreath. You could even add some battery operated lights or add some snow for a fun finish!

In your living room, make your tree the centre of attention by dressing it with lots of stunning Christmas baubles and warm lights. For extra special touch on less expensive baubles, try decorating them with glitter or sequins.  Alternatively, if you have any broken costume jewellery, try attaching them to your baubles to add a little bit of luxury and create a vintage inspired look.

There are also plenty of different ways to display gifts and presents which makes use of them as decorations. For a gorgeous vintage look, place some presents in a large grain sack next to the tree. You can always bulk the sack out using clothes or towels. If you have young children, a fun alternative is sacks with Father Christmas or Rudolf on!
