How to get a clutter free kitchen

Kitchens look fantastic kept sleek and clutter free, but it can be difficult to achieve as well as keeping up with our busy lives! One way to try and keep your surfaces clear of clutter as well as appliances is to add a little more storage with a sideboard or dresser.

Sideboards and dressers are fantastic as they provide a wealth of storage space perfect for smaller clutter as well as dinnerware, glassware and even smaller appliances. One simple change you can make is to tidy placemats away into a drawer after each meal.

You could also hang up a noticeboard to avoid notes and letters piling up on the side. Or, go for a chalkboard for a more rustic finish.

There are so many options available at Modish Living so you can find one perfect for your home. These are a couple of my top picks available on our website.

The Riya Reclaimed Wood Sideboard Cabinet and Wine Rack is perfect if you have a larger kitchen or dining area. The sideboard offers fantastic storage potential with its three drawers and three cupboards and even accommodates 10 bottles of wine. With the natural colours running through the wood it is easy to place in any décor scheme and would look fantastic with some pops of colour for unique style.

I also love the Nilsson Rustica Reclaimed Wood Sideboard for its glamorous, retro inspired design. The sideboard has gorgeous angled legs and features two sets of double doors opening to reveal cupboard space as well as two large drawers. A fantastic piece you will fall in love with.

Alternatively, a top tip on cheating a tidy kitchen is to place fresh flowers as the centrepiece in your kitchen to bring a natural beauty to the room – and it will distract from any mess!
