What is Guardsman Protection?

For a one-off payment, you can protect your purchase of Sofa & Armchairs and Dining furniture from accidental stains, marks and tears for 5 years.

How much does it cost?

There are two types of policy cover - Sofas & Armchairs Policy and Dining Policy, covering dining chairs, dining tables and dining sets.

Sofas & Armchairs Policy: this is calculated by number of seats.

    1 x Seat (Armchair) £50

    2 x Seats (2 x Armchairs or 2 Seater Sofa) £90

    3 Seats (e.g. 3 x Armchairs or 2 Seater Sofa & 1 Armchair) £120

    4 Seats (e.g. 3 Seater Sofa & 1 x Armchair) £150

    5 Seats & more (up to 10 seats) £180

    Dining Policy: this is based on the total value of the order.

      £0 - £749.99: Cover costs £75.00

      £750 - £1,299.99 - Cover costs £115.00

      £1300 - £1,899.99 - Cover costs £155.00

      £1,900 - £2299.99 - Cover costs £195.00

      £2300 - £15,000 - Cover costs £250.00


      Why do I need a furniture protection plan?

      When you buy something you love, it’s only natural to want to keep it looking its best. Your home is a place to relax and enjoy the beautiful furniture you have invested in. With a furniture protection plan you can relax in the knowledge that any stain, spilt drink or chip can be cared for and repaired.

      What’s covered?

      • All forms of accidental stain damage, including food, drinks, ink, make-up and wax.
      • Accidental damage such as rips, tears, scuffs, scratches and surface burns.
      • Scratches, chips and stains to wood.
      • Upholstery and leather repairs, including rips, scratches, scuffs and burn marks.

      What’s not covered?

      General cleaning, wear and tear, odours, colour change, animal chewing, damage caused by perspiration and structural faults.

      How does it work?

      • When you have an accident, call Guardsman using the phone number on your Plan certificate or download a claim form.

      • Wherever possible, Guardsman’s expert techs always aim to repair the damage on their first visit.

      • If the damage can’t be repaired, they’ll replace the damaged part, the item of furniture or offer a cash settlement.

      • You can make a claim at any time throughout your plan. You can make as many claims as you need up to the indemnity value of your plan. (That’s the price you originally paid for your furniture or £15,000, whichever is the lowest).

      How do I add Guardsman Protection Policy to my purchase?

      • Simply tick the ‘Add Guardsman Protection’ box before adding your item to the Cart.

      • This will automatically calculate how much your item will cost to cover.

      • If you add further items to your basket, you will need to tick 'Add Guardsman' each time to ensure the relevant items are covered. Any additional cost to your policy will be automatically calculated.

      • Select Add to Cart and your furniture and the Guardsman Protection will be added to your basket. Easy!

      • If you’re not clear if your purchase is protected or not, you can place your order with us over the phone.


      Can I add Guardsman Protection after my purchase?

      • Yes! Call or email us and you can purchase a policy at any time before your order is booked in for delivery.
